Dart Takes The Lead At FPA Environment Seminar 2016
Dart Products Europe has taken a leading role at the annual Foodservice Packaging Association Environment Seminar. Anne Sutton, VP Innovation, Environment & Packaging, is Chairman of the Foodservice Packaging Association Environment Committee, which organises the annual event.
Held this year at the St John’s Hotel Solihull, the Seminar attracted almost 200 FPA members and stakeholders including representatives from local authorities, trade associations, major foodservice operators, environment and recycling organisations.
Comments Anne Sutton: “This year we attracted some very high level speakers for both the morning and the afternoon debate. The morning focused on litter with Jeremy Paxman as key-note speaker in his capacity as Patron of Clean Up Britain, leading to some lively debate. The theme was very much on how stakeholders can work together to address the issue of litter in the UK. In the afternoon we debated recycling and how organisations throughout the supply chain can achieve greater recycling of foodservice packaging. This Seminar is a significant milestone in the FPA calendar and has led to the FPA’s voice being heard at the highest level, most recently talking about litter strategy for England at a meeting with Defra Minister the Right Hon Rory Stewart.”
Representatives from Dart Products Europe also attended the Seminar alongside Anne. More information and report on the event can be found at www.foodservicepackaging.org.uk
